Doo Hickeys (no images)

Hi everyone,

Hope you are well, we are enjoying another hot week here in sunny Melbourne, Yuk!

This card was a bit of a challenge NO IMAGE it did give the little grey cells a work out lol.

I wanted something romantic but not over the top for my niece who moved into her first house/home on the weekend, the design just seemed to make itself .

I've used American Craft card stock and so wanted to have a lattice border (but didn't have a die) I found just what I was looking for on my Silhouette Cameo!

I love the way it gives the card just that little bit of dimension, there is a secret to making the lattice stand out from the card. I was visiting Gabrielle Pollacco's site a few weeks ago and found the secret there in one of her tutorials, please take a look as Gabrielle makes gorgeous creations,  HERE.

For the lattice to stand out place dots of Liquid Pearls on the wrong side of the lattice, let it dry, then dab with glue and position on the card - it's a brilliant idea it works a treat - thanks Gabrielle.

The lamp post (Magnolia) and key (from Prima) have Inkssentials Crackle accents on them, the vintage daisies are inked with Versa Color Lilac the rest of the dies are ink with Versa color silver.  The wording is Kaisercraft "True Romance" clear stamps, and of course the card is liberally sprinkled with Ranger Star Dust Stickles.  I scrunched up the white seam binding and trailed it up the right side to link the vintage daisies, I was quite pleased with it, hope you like it too.

Magnolia Doo Hickey dies:

Paris Night,
Dragonflies,
Vintage Daisies,
Scalloped Tag,
Vintage Flowers & Leaves
La La Land Heart Fence.

I would like to enter the following Challenges:
