"Men Cards"

Hi,

Thought I would share 3 cards I made for Fathers Day last weekend, here in Australia.

As Men cards are always difficult or they are for me I thought why not make use of the internet and search for hubby's and sons in laws favourite cars, bike images!

Hubby's always wanted a new Jaguar, printing out the images on photo paper gave them an almost velvet look which I rather love,

Dale has a Harley Davidson, its red (not sure if this is the right bike, but its red) I really loved the harley badge I found for his card

Richard would one day love a Red Porsche - apparently red cars go faster hehe!

all papers are Maja,
Stampendous Frontage in Aged Silver, Aged Gold,
 Tim Holtz Weathered Clock die,
Crafts-too embossing folder Geared
Darice Brick Pattern.

I hope you like my take on cards for Men!

until next time, take care

Push, Pull, Flip Card in Motion

Hi there,
Yay, I am soooo pleased that I was in the Top 3 at Midweek Magnolias!

Here is my first Push, Pull card!
I'm really pleased with how my Guard of the Castle has turned out, this Edwin is new (I've wanted him for a while & as a Pom I had to have him lol) I went to the Paperific Expo in Melbourne last weekend, I found him and lots of Tilda's there - yippee, I haven't treated myself to new Magnolia stamps in ages!

I did think that push, pull cards were very tricky to make but after doing a little research I realised they are quite simple.

I wanted to have the guardsman standing outside the palace walls with the turrets behind him,

there had to be a red Telephone box as well (love this)

here is the card open

side view, I used some organza ribbon on the slide to pull it out.

Materials:
Magnolia Guard of the Castle, Phone Booth, Edwin's Knight Castle
Magnolia Doohickeys Paris Night dies
DP's Maja Design Summer Crush 'Off to meet him' & 'Dancing the Bop'
Copic Markers, Glossy Accents, Ruby Rock-it Droplets 'Country Cookin'
