Shades of Green - Aurora Wings Butterfly Mask

Hi everyone,

I would like to share this little beauty with you that I made for my niece in law (nephews wife) as she is Italian born, I thought it quite apt for her birthday card.

I coloured the Butterfly mask with my Copics and the DP is Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics - 6th of May papers set on white American Card stock, the clock is a Tim Holtz Alterations Weathered Clock die which I added green glitter to, the corners also Maja DP are cut with Spellbinders Ornate Squares die, the butterflies are cut with Les Papillions Two dies.

For the green organza ribbon rose I cut short strips of ribbon, glued the centres of each piece to a piece of card, then held my heat gun over it to just melt the edges so it curled, first time I have tried this but it seemed to work out alright, I placed a white paper rose in the middle.  And of course lots of Star Dust stickles.

This was just a quick post this time round, lots of cards for birthdays still to be done, and a friend requested a birthday card yesterday too, so busy, busy!

I will enter this card into the following Challenges

Aurora Wings Bridal Veil

Hi everyone,

This is my first AuroraWings Bridal Veil card, they are just gorgeous digi stamps pop over and check them out.

Printed onto X-Press It blending card, I coloured her with Copic markers. I used a Spellbinders die for the shape of the card edged with Versa Color Lilac ink, The lattice I cut on my Silhouette Cameo, the flowers, lace and bling are from Spotlight (my local craft store) as I am not putting this in a challenge I have skimmed over the supplies I have used.

I hope you like my first attempt with an Aurora Wings digi stamp, watch this space for more.

Take care, happy crafting,

Magnolia-licious Clean and Simple

Hi everyone,

Over at Magnolia-licious the challenge is Clean and Simple, I found this quite easy once I had settled on "London Tilda" stamped on cream X-Press It blending card using Copic markers.

I wanted to have 'rain' falling and found in my old sewing things a wheel that I must have used with marking chalk (my little grey cells have forgotten that) I ran it down the paper in not very straight lines, I went over some of the indentations with a Gelly Roll sparkle pen and added some 'rain' drops with Ranger White Opal Liquid Pearls.  I just had to have Ranger Star Dust Stickles on her boots and falling on the tips of her hair!  I added a Scrapmatts 'Smile" chip board to complete this little birthday card.

I have to say that as the card has little contrasts it was a bit tricky to take the best photo, so out in the garden I went for some natural light.

I hope you like my little effort, if you do please leave a little comment Id love to hear from you!

Beautiful Buttons

Hi everyone,

It's been a busy few weeks making cards both for here & the UK.

I made this card in American Card stock with Maja Design DPs for my niece's 18th birthday next week, it's been a labour of love as I made her a double card with every page decorated, few!

She absolutely adores shoes, so I've used a "Crafty Ann" Women's shoe die, some in card stock and in mirri card with lots of Star Dust stickles.  I've used a Cottage Cutz Eiffel Tower die along with lots of Doohickey dies and Spellbinders dies.  There is a Swirl clip with a Swarovski flat back crystal on the front that I had over from my daughter's wedding a while ago, also there are quite a few crystals scattered over butterflies on the card too.

I've used 3 Tilda's, Princess Pea Tilda on the front (thats a white feather by the way), Gucci Tilda on page 3 floating around Paris and Tilda in a Hurry (like I am) is on the last page looking like she could do with a cup of tea!

Sorry it has been a bit of a rush job and I do apologise for the bad photos!!
