2021 Christmas Card

Hi and welcome to my blog.

Here is a little card I made the other evening, as yet it doesn't have a sentiment, I was inspired by the dressmakers model in the 'Handmade for you' Stamp set for Stampinup Angel Policy.

I used polished pink for the card base 11" x 6"
scored in half at 5.1/2"
the mats are 5.3/8 x 5.7/8"

basic white card stock cut with the Scalloped Contours Dies the top mat was embossed with the Seabed embossing folder as was the smaller oblong one in polished pink for the front,

The dressmakers model was stamped in polished pink on basic white,
I used a flower from Hand Penned Petals for a 'skirt' coloured in polished pink on the model with leaves in soft succulent from the same set.

This card is a base for my first Christmas card for 2021

The measurements are the same for this card as above, using Soft Succulent card stock and Ink, along with Real Red ink.

I used one of the masks from the Plenty of Patterns Decorative Masks for the background of the card with a blending brush and soft succulent ink.
I've left the front panels in basic white, the smaller shape is embossed with the Tasteful Textures embossing folder, stamped the dressmakers model in soft succulent, the bough from the Evergreen Elegance stamp set and die cut holly leaves, the bow and mistletoe from the Tidings & Trimmings stamp set and Christmas Trimmings dies.
The Merry Christmas sentiment stamped in Real Red ink and fussy cut from the evergreen elegance stamp set.

I think it is a really effective way of making a very interesting and different  Christmas card.

Handmade Thanks

Hi and welcome to my blog.

Card size is 8.1/4" x 4"

I was watching a youtube video from the lovely

Stamping Techniques Using Pastel Chalks

So I thought I would give it a try and this is my effort.

I stamped the large flower from Artistically Inked onto basic white card stock with VersaMark ink, then with the Soft Pastel Assortment I shaved off some of the pastels, with a sponge dauber I went over the versa mark with the powder from the pastel and it revealed the flower shape, as I still had some pastel on my dauber I went around the edges of the flowers to make it look hazy, then did the same thing with the leaves stamps.
Matting it onto Gorgeous Grape card stock then onto the note card.
Using the multi glue I left little lines of glue on the leaves, once tacky I gently rubbed the Gold gilding flakes on the glue, brushed of the excess and voila we have gold veined leaves.
The sentiment came from Artistically Inked stamp set and Handmade for You

The colours are gorgeous grape, granny apple green, poppy parade.

I am really pleased with how this turned out and wish Stampinup would bring out more colours, I will be definitely trying this technique again, so thanks so much Tina.

Book style - Happy Fathers Day Card - Fathers Day in Australia is Sept.

Hi and welcome to my blog.

Today I'm sharing a Book style Happy Fathers Day card, the card measures 6'' x 5.3/4" scored at 1.1/4" for the book end part.

I've used Balmy Blue card stock, basic white card stock, using my blending brushes, I blended balmy blue and a little pacific point ink onto the white card stock, before embossing with Seabed one of my favourite embossing folders. I roughed up the edges of the top mat with scissors, the images are die cut from Sailing Home and the Smooth Sailing dies for the seaweed on the side panel.

The sentiment is from Handsomely Suited, I masked some of the words to use only Father's Day from the stamp set. I couldn't help myself and added 3 gems from the Blue Adhesive backed Gems.

I have to say I'm really pleased with how this card turned.

Hello, Little One - Baby Dresser Card

Hi and welcome to my blog.

Its been ages since I have made a babies Dresser card, I had to find my old template (sorry don't remember where I got it from) it's easy to make, the drawers are oblong shapes in Very Vanilla card stock.

I used the spot design mask from the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks with Bumblebee ink, Ive cut a mirror shape in silver card (from my supplies) the bear was stamped in Polished Pink ink using All for Baby stamp set, the sentiment is from this set too.

The clothes were die cut with Baby Clothes Dies and glued to the dresser front, for the feet of the dresser I used the Label Me Lovely punch. for the handles on the drawers I coloured some pearl basic jewels using cinnamon cider blender markers.
