Frightfully Cute Pop Up Shadow Box Card

Hi and welcome to my Blog,

Today's post is all about Halloween..

I made this pop up Shadow box card for my granddaughter's birthday which is on the 25th October.
As her birthday is so close to Halloween I thought a fun fold Halloween card would be extra special for her.

So, using Stampinup's Frightfully Cute Stamp set and the Cute Halloween 6 x 6 DSP I have made the card a shadow box.

The sizes are:-

Basic grey 2 pieces 7.1/2" x 5.1/2"
scored at 3/4" & 1.1/2" either end

glimmer paper - inside centre back 5" x 5.1/2"

 front DSP 5.1/4" x 5.1/2"

2 DSP side strips 3/4' x 5.1/2"

Score and burnish the basic grey card stock at both ends, die cut out the centre of front panel after adhering the DSP to it, adhere the glimmer paper to the inside back, cut a piece of basic black card stock into a hill shape and glue onto glimmer paper on the back piece of the card, glue the tree and fences to the hill, place the tombstones where you want them.

next put adhesive on one of the 3/4" side/end pieces and glue the two pieces together,
glue a second piece of basic black card stock to the inside front of the card
before you then glue the second 3/4" side to the back panel to make the box shape,
if both sides line up correctly the card should lay flat for posting.
Next glue the R.I.P.  piece in place along with the tree and remaining fence pieces.
Turn the card over and glue the back piece of DSP to it adding a piece of white card stock to write your message.

The box shape allows for a Battery Tea light candle (NOT A REAL CANDLE) inside behind the tombstone and it changes colours which is quite Spooky haha..

Delicate Dahlia's Fun Fold Card

Hi and welcome to my blog,

Today's post is all about using the lovely Delicate Dahlia's stamp set from Stampinup.

I have made a few cards using Versamark ink and the Soft Pastel set from Stampinup in the current catalogue 2021-22

card size

base - 9.1/4" x 5.1/2"

scored at 1.1/2", 2.3/4", 6.1/2", 7.3/4"top mat - 4" x 5.1/4"

Fresh freesia base mat - 4.1/2" x 5.1/2"

side panels - 1.1/4" x 5.1/2" you need 2

back panel - 3.1/2" x 5.1/4"  to write on

scrap for little bag

scrap for sentiment

After shaving off some of the soft pastel chalk into a paint pallet, I stamped the large dahlia flower with Versamark ink and then using a finger dauber to gently rub over the stamped image to apply the shaved pastel, the more pastel you use the darker the flower will become, continue stamping one image at a time as the versamrk will start to dry out and you wouldn't see where you had already stamped or that's what I've found.

For this card Ive used night of navy, coastal cabana, granny apple green, mossy meadow and a pink from my own sets of Pastels chalks from when I was painting a long while ago.

Back to write message.

For the card below I used daffodil delight, poppy parade in the centres of the dahlias, the leaves are as above.

the 2 cards below Ive used Quiet Meadow stamp set for the flowers and Beautiful Friendship for the leaves

It has been fun to make these cards and to play with something that is different.

Thanks for joining me today and I hope you like my little project/s.
