Frightfully Cute Pop Up Shadow Box Card

Hi and welcome to my Blog,

Today's post is all about Halloween..

I made this pop up Shadow box card for my granddaughter's birthday which is on the 25th October.
As her birthday is so close to Halloween I thought a fun fold Halloween card would be extra special for her.

So, using Stampinup's Frightfully Cute Stamp set and the Cute Halloween 6 x 6 DSP I have made the card a shadow box.

The sizes are:-

Basic grey 2 pieces 7.1/2" x 5.1/2"
scored at 3/4" & 1.1/2" either end

glimmer paper - inside centre back 5" x 5.1/2"

 front DSP 5.1/4" x 5.1/2"

2 DSP side strips 3/4' x 5.1/2"

Score and burnish the basic grey card stock at both ends, die cut out the centre of front panel after adhering the DSP to it, adhere the glimmer paper to the inside back, cut a piece of basic black card stock into a hill shape and glue onto glimmer paper on the back piece of the card, glue the tree and fences to the hill, place the tombstones where you want them.

next put adhesive on one of the 3/4" side/end pieces and glue the two pieces together,
glue a second piece of basic black card stock to the inside front of the card
before you then glue the second 3/4" side to the back panel to make the box shape,
if both sides line up correctly the card should lay flat for posting.
Next glue the R.I.P.  piece in place along with the tree and remaining fence pieces.
Turn the card over and glue the back piece of DSP to it adding a piece of white card stock to write your message.

The box shape allows for a Battery Tea light candle (NOT A REAL CANDLE) inside behind the tombstone and it changes colours which is quite Spooky haha..
