August Mood Board - Dusty Attic

Hi everyone,

This is my first attempt at a canvas hope you like it! Its for someone special and I hope she doesn't see it until her birthday!

Its a 30x40cm canvas I've used a 12 x 12" Kaisercraft "flutter' template, "Damask" 7 a Heidi Swapp "Stars, Hearts & Dots" template with homemade smooth texture paste (1/4 cup Baby powder, 1 tablespoon school craft glue, 1 tablespoon white craft paint, a little water, mix together) actually this recipe is from the lovely Gabrielle Pollacco's blog click here

Using Versa color inks in various colours for the butterflies with Perfect Pearls to add shimmer, I added a little BoBunny Silver glitter paste to the corners and BoBunny Doubledot in Island Mist, Tutu & Coral in the 'waves' at the bottom of the canvas.

The Birds nest #2 and Vintage key are from Dusty Attic, I just love them, the bird cage is Tim Holtz, the words are Kaisercraft "True Romance"..

I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out, the photo isn't great as its raining hard here so the light is poor, so my apologises!

Christmas Kitchen Tilda

Hi there,

Here is a my first Christmas card its Christmas Kitchen Tilda (I think)
I have used Maja Design "Its Christmas time I believe" such gorgeous paper the image of Santa is just perfect!
I cut the top of the card with Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Four die, I think it gives the card an unusual shape,
I coloured Tilda with Copic markers & cut with Spellbinders Labels Eighteen, I used Magnolia Poinsettia from the Magnolia DooHickey club magazine vol 2, this is such a delicate die.
The flowers are Kaisercraft, red gems, lace, doily from my stash with Frantage and stardust stickles.

Add an Animal

Hi,

Here is a box card I've made for my niece's 11th birthday, using Bridesmaid Tilda,
I coloured her with Copic markers,
the lovely papers are Maja Design Sofiero 'Exuberance of flowers in Bloom DP's,
Magnolia Paris Night pussy cat,
Magnolia Dragonflies,
La-La Land Bridge & Heart Fence.

I thought that as Tilda is throwing flower petals I would use some Faux silk petals by Vivaldi on the fold down parts of the box,
I tinted the edges with pink/blue versa mark ink with a gem stone on each petal and Stardust stickles.
The balloon, flower die & lace is from my stash.

Anything but a Card

Hi there,

I have been MIA recently, sorry, lots been happening with family health issues! Hubby then my eldest daughter in hospital, but they are back to normal again - if there is such a thing called 'normal' lol!

I've been having a play with my acrylic paints on some Glass bricks I picked up in a Sale recently.

And when I saw the Challenge over at Mid-week Magnolias Anything but a Card I thought why not enter my 'Brick' as it has "Santa on Christmas Eve" on it from "So Jolly collection".

this is the brick unlit

this one with a light behind it -
please use battery candles not real ones!!!
its best to use battery Fairy lights.

I hope you like my little effort at starting Christmas in August.
My daughter wants this Santa for her house - I think Santa is going to be busy this year lol!
