Cards for Friends

Hi everyone,

Well, its officially Autumn here in sunny Melbourne - phew! 

Fingers crossed Mother Nature will catch on soon & give us some wonderful autumn days 

& not the heat of summer!

I've been busy making a few cards for a dear friend Davinia Wood who has now moved with hubby Phil to Geraldton in Western Australia right by the beach! 

From a place called Tom Price, the back of nowhere!

This card I made because Davinia said she would like a scooter to pop to the shops with 

(as yet I don't have Scooter Tilda) she's on order!

On the Road Tilda fitted the bill nicely and

"Cool" Edwin I thought would make a great Phil looking exasperated with Davinia riding her bike lol ..

I've used Kaisercraft Fairy wishes design papers. 

Magnolia stamps Tilda & Edwin both coloured with Distress Inks.

The largest of the Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Ovals for the card shape, I made slits in it to stand Edwin & Tilda against it & they fold down to close the card, I think it came out pretty well.

I can report that 

Davinia and Phil have now found & bought their first house in Geraldton - Yay!

For a New Home card I've used a favourite Magnolia stamp of mine

 "Welcome to a Lovely Home"

which is also coloured with Distress Inks, 

the papers are PION, 

Magnolia Doohickey Tag, 

the fence is LaLaLand, 

GoKreate & Spellbinders dies for the card shape.

Both cards have been received and were met with approval lol..

Its lovely to know that friends are happy & going to be well now they are down by the water, 

its the best place to be!

 I live near Port Phillip bay, which is 10 minutes away!

Here is a little card using Drip Drop Tilda the stamp arrived in the post from my lovely friend Davinia Wood, thanks lovely.

She is coloured with Distress Inks (loving these) I've added extra rain drops & I took the idea of the colours from my youngest grand daughter who loves to dress herself (she's 5) we went out for lunch on my birthday & she had a sundress (its summer in Aus) and her Pink winter boots, so Tilda had to have Pink boots too LOL..

Simply Magnolia - CAS or Fully Loaded - (optional add Red) 14 Feb

Hi everyone,

Here is one of my favourite Magnolia Stamps "London Tilda" for the 

Simply Magnolia challenge 

I had fun with this card as it makes a change to do a CAS (Clean and Simple) card

and there is not a flower in sight lol.

 

Tilda is coloured with Distress Inks

mounted on to plain card stock

 Kaiser craft Fairy Dust Purple Design paper 

lots of Star Dust stickles 

Purple pearls from my stash.

Here is a DT card for Simply Magnolia challenge Lace & Pearls 

I have used Miracle Love Tilda from The Touch of Love Collection by Magnolia.

Tilda is coloured with Distress Inks,

I love the new Fairy Dust paper by KaiserCraft,

The flowers I made with Vellum using Cheery Lynn designs Gardenia die large & Small,

I touched them with Gesso and lots of Star Dust glitter glue,

Spellbinders Butterfly dies,

Magnolia Butterfly die,

Magnolia Tag,

 Lace, Pearl strip & ribbon from my stash.

Simply Magnolia - Anything Goes

Hi everyone,

Its midway reminder over at Simply Magnolia - Anything Goes Challenge!

I decided that Miss Tilda would love to be in Paris blowing Edwin kisses from the Eiffel Tower.

 

I have had great success colouring "Miss you Tilda" from Magnolia "In Love Collection" with Distress Inks.

 I think for the first time I have found (by accident) a water colour paper (Eraldo di Paolo Field Pad, I've had for ages from when I used to paint) that responds to the inks and my Tilda is beginning to look like I know what I'm doing lol... at last!

Sweet Magnolia Design Team - Anything Goes

Hi everyone,

I am a tad nervous showing my first card for LHOSM Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia Challenge blog.

As a brand new DT member here is my first card showing Cupid Angel Tilda from the new 

Magnolia  In Love collection.  

I've used Distressed Inks on Pastel water colour paper, as the paper has a creamy look I have teamed it with,
